Interfaith Works

Interfaith Works is a New Orleans-based nonprofit that partners a wide range of faith traditions with community, service, youth and other groups along with foundations and other funders. We nurture interfaith understanding, civic engagement and service, social entrepreneurship and positive change in civil society.

Program Description
Our partnerships produce grassroots projects in a variety of areas, from affordable housing to children’s literacy to disaster recovery, as determined by community needs and assets. We also work to promote youth-driven leadership, with a special emphasis on engaging faith communities.  Among other initiatives, Interfaith Works inaugurated Global Youth Service Day in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
